Thankfully, developer Bluepoint Games has come forward to clear up some of the confusion surrounding Titanfall on Xbox 360. More importantly, they want to assure gamers that their version of Titanfall will not be missing any of the game’s key elements.

In a lengthy post on the Titanfall page, Senior Producer for Bluepoint, Daryl Allison, addresses gamers’ concerns over the 360 version head-on. He explains that Titanfall on 360 will include all of the same maps, modes, weapons, Titans, and burn cards that are available in the Xbox One and PC versions. That means all the loadout options and all three of the Titan types will make an appearance — nothing will be lost in “translation.” The game will also support the full 6v6 player count, so no disparity there either.

Where the Xbox 360 version will trail behind its X1 and PC counterparts is with the frame rate, which Allison says clocks in somewhere “above 30fps.” Not a tremendous drop for a past-gen port, but considering Titanfall struggled with frame rate on more powerful hardware (read our Titanfall review) that might be cause for concern.

Allison also addressed the Xbox 360 version’s delays, saying that pushing the game was ultimately the smart call on Electronic Arts’ part and the extra time “paid off.” If an extra month of waiting meant less concessions for Bluepoint then we doubt gamers will complain.

All told, it sounds like Bluepoint Games has done an admirable job porting Respawn Entertainment’s game to Microsoft’s best-selling console. In fact, the 360 version of Titanfall will likely be the best selling out of all three options purely because of its install base. We’ll find out just how well the game does on April 8th.

Did you think there would be any shortcomings in the 360 version of Titanfall beyond frame rate? Do you plan on picking up the port?
